New Miss Nara

When the original Miss Nara, made in 1927, returned to Japan for restoration in 1994, Nara Prefecture presented the state of Idaho with this new doll to commemorate the occasion. This doll was made by Toko Shokansai, son of the doll maker who made the original Miss Nara.

The state of Idaho gave a Nez Perce Doll to Nara Prefecture to express its thanks for the restoration of Miss Nara.
