Friendship Dolls

Many new Japanese Friendship Dolls have been given to American schools through the program coordinated by the Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute. A letter written by a Mukogawa student accompanies many of the dolls sent to the schools. Below is an example of one of these letters.

Since 1986, Sidney Gulick, 3d, has sent many new American Friendship Dolls to Japanese elementary schools and kindergartens. The children at these schools greatly appreciate these gifts. Below is a link to several thank-you letters written by students after their school received a New Blue-eyed Doll from Mr. Gulick.
